What You’ll Gain

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be better able to:

  1. Recognize squeeze conditions at work
Notice when contradictory demands, blurred priorities, or systemic pressures are shaping your experience, even when everything looks “fine” on the surface.

  2. Separate what’s happening from self-judgment
Reduce unnecessary self-blame by understanding how people adapt under pressure, and why your responses make sense in context.

  3. Identify your own adaptive responses under the squeeze
See the patterns you default to when coherence is compromised, as short-term strategies you’ve used to cope or protect what matters.

  4. Regain orientation inside complex situations
Clarify where you are, what pressures are at play, and what choices are actually available without trying to fix everything at once.

  5. Make more deliberate choices about participation
Decide how you want to engage, respond, or pause with greater clarity, agency, and self-trust.

Course Structure

How it Works

Module 2 - Patterns Under Pressure

Module 1 - What is the Squeeze?

How the Learning Works

The course is designed to be taken in order,

but you’re encouraged to move at your own pace and revisit modules as needed.

The course is:

  • self-guided and self-paced
  • designed for private reflection and thoughtful inquiry
  • supported by optional prompts for peer or trusted-colleague conversations
  • intentionally non-cohort-based, with no ongoing facilitation or managed community

This course is meant to support clear thinking, not performance.

Module 1 - What is the Squeeze?

Module 2 - Patterns Under Pressure

Module 1 - What is the Squeeze?

Focus: Naming the experience

This module introduces the idea of the squeeze as a lived experience of contradiction and absurdity, not individual stress or weakness.

You’ll explore:

  • how modern work creates incompatible demands
  • why “just coping better” misses the point
  • how absurd conditions become normalized

Outcome:

A shared language for what you’ve been feeling but may not have been able to name.

Module 2 - Patterns Under Pressure

Module 2 - Patterns Under Pressure

Module 2 - Patterns Under Pressure

Focus: Seeing the system, not blaming the self

Here you’ll learn to recognize recurring patterns that emerge when contradiction persists over time.

You’ll explore:

  • common “patterns under pressure” observed across roles and organizations
  • how people enter these patterns rather than cause them
  • why different people respond differently to the same conditions

Outcome:

Distance, relief, and perspective.

You begin to see the environment more clearly, without pathologizing yourself or others.

Our tax experts will help you navigate the complex tax landscape and ensure that you are in compliance with all relevant regulations.

We offer a full range of tax services including tax planning, preparation, and filing for individuals and businesses.

Module 3 - Your Squeeze Plays

Module 4 - Reclaiming Orientation & Choice

Module 2 - Patterns Under Pressure

Focus: Understanding your adaptive moves

This module helps you notice how you personally respond when coherence is compromised.

You’ll explore:

  • the idea of squeeze plays as short-term, adaptive choices
  • what you may be trying to protect, preserve, or avoid
  • how your responses make sense given what’s at stake

Outcome:

Greater self-compassion and awareness, without excuses or self-attack.Our team of experienced accountants will provide you with accurate and timely financial information to help you make informed decisions. We offer a full range of accounting and bookkeeping services including financial statement preparation, payroll processing, and budgeting.

Module 4 - Reclaiming Orientation & Choice

Module 4 - Reclaiming Orientation & Choice

Module 4 - Reclaiming Orientation & Choice

Focus: Moving forward deliberately

The final module brings the learning together and helps you identify where a small but meaningful shift may be possible.

You’ll explore:

  • what it means to regain orientation
  • how to choose one or two areas to focus on
  • how to approach a conversation, boundary, or decision with clarity

Outcome:

A grounded sense of agency and an outline for next steps that feel realistic and aligned.

Module 5 - Continuing with Clarity

Module 4 - Reclaiming Orientation & Choice

Module 4 - Reclaiming Orientation & Choice

Focus: Choosing how to move forward

This module helps you translate what you’ve noticed into realistic next steps, without pressure to “fix” everything at once. The emphasis is on discernment, support, and maintaining orientation over time.

You'll explore:

  • how to continue noticing squeeze conditions as they arise
  • what support is useful now vs. later
  • how to decide whether a conversation, boundary, or pause is the next step
  • when outside perspective can help you see more clearly

You’ll also be introduced to optional ways to continue the work, including:

  • Insight Sessions
  • upcoming BBHQ writing and research, including RECLAIM (the book)

Outcome:
A grounded sense of how you want to proceed, and what kind of support (if any) would be most useful next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Hello@behavingbadlyhq.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No. This is a self-guided learning experience.

The course is designed to be completed at your own pace, privately and thoughtfully. There are no required live sessions, weekly calls, or ongoing facilitation.

This is intentional. Much of this work benefits from quiet reflection rather than performance or group processing.

The course is intentionally self-paced and non-cohort, designed to support private reflection and personal orientation before moving into action. There is no moderated community space for this course. Since this work is not designed to be processed in a public forum, and participation does not require sharing personal experiences with a group. Many people prefer to make sense of contradiction and absurdity privately, and the course respects that.

You’re not meant to do this work in isolation. The course includes optional reflection prompts you can use to talk with:

  • a trusted colleague
  • a peer
  • a small self-organized pair or trio

Participants are welcome to connect with one another informally if they choose, using their own channels. These conversations are participant-led and self-managed.
